Ultimate Gameplay Guide
🎮 Game Basics
- Survivors (Barts): Your goal is to hide, juke, and survive until the round timer hits zero.
- The Hunter (Homer): Your goal is to find and eliminate all survivors before time runs out.
- Currency: Winning rounds earns you Quid, which can be used to buy skins, items, and crates in the lobby.
🟢 Level 1: Beginner Strategies (The Basics)
For Survivors:
- Don't Be a "Bright" Target: You have a flashlight (torch). While it helps you see, it also acts as a beacon for Homer. Keep it off unless absolutely necessary.
- Use the 2D Skin Meta: If you have enough Quid, buy a 2D skin (like Emo Bart). 2D skins have smaller profiles and can hide in thin gaps where 3D models would stick out.
- Listen Closely: The game uses directional audio. If the music gets louder or you hear Homer's signature catchphrases, he is nearby. Move immediately.
For Homer:
- Check the Corners: New players often hide right behind doors or in the darkest corners of a room. Always do a quick 360-degree sweep when entering a building.
- Follow the Sound: Listen for survivors spamming voice lines (emotes). They often do this to taunt you, but it gives away their exact floor and room.
🟡 Level 2: Intermediate Strategies (Map Knowledge)
For Survivors:
- The "Door Juke": When being chased, run through a door and immediately turn 180 degrees to hide behind the door frame. Many Homers will sprint past you into the room, allowing you to slip out behind them.
- Climb Everything: Most Homer models have difficulty with vertical parkour. Use tables, shelves, and crates to stay above eye level.
- The Attic Strategy: In the House map, the attic is a classic spot, but always have an exit plan. Don't let Homer corner you; be ready to jump down to the lower floor.
For Homer:
- Control the Chokepoints: Instead of chasing one survivor in circles, try to cut them off at narrow corridors or ladders.
- Look Up: Intermediate survivors love to hide on top of refrigerators, wardrobes, and signs. Get into the habit of looking at the ceiling area.
- Check "Unlikely" Spots: Some survivors hide under beds or inside wardrobes. If a room feels "too quiet," check the furniture.
🔴 Level 3: Advanced Strategies (Pro Moves & Glitches)
For Survivors:
- Wall Jumping: Learn to use "Shift Lock" to jump against corners. This allows you to reach rooftops (like the Lighthouse or the House roof) that Homer cannot easily navigate.
- The "Lag Switch" Trick (High Risk): Some pro players briefly disconnect their Wi-Fi right before being teleported to remain in the lobby while the match is active, making them invisible to Homer (Note: This may be patched).
- Kiting/Looping: Practice "looping" Homer around large objects like the bar in Moe's Tavern. By staying on the opposite side of a large obstacle, you can waste minutes of Homer's time.
For Homer:
- Clipping Awareness: Pro Homers look for "clipping." Even if a survivor is behind a wall, their hair, hands, or accessories might clip through the geometry.
- Growth Management: Remember that Homer grows larger with each kill. Use your increased size to block entire hallways, making it impossible for survivors to squeeze past you.
- Anticipate the Jump: When chasing someone toward a ledge (like the Lighthouse), don't follow them down immediately. Wait a split second to see where they land, then drop down to intercept them.
💰 Lobby Tips
- Gambling: You can use the "Charmy Roller" in the lobby to get rare skins. However, save your Quid for specific meta skins first (like the Emo Bot) before gambling.
- Obby Practice: Complete the Spongebob-themed Obby in the lobby. It significantly improves your movement precision, which is vital for surviving chases.
